INEC Announces Bayelsa State Governorship Election results

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, have announced results of the governorship election of the state after much hiccups in the state.

Mr. Zana Akpagu, INEC’s returning officer forwarded and delayed the collation which was been made at the State’s Capital but on releasing the results, the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP), made a good run in Yenagoa LGA with 839 votes against 448 votes of the All Progressives Congress. A Wow result was pulled out in Brass LGA, as APC took the Local Gov. Area with 1,679 votes leaving just 5 votes for the PDP to pull. Seriously pertaining to Brass LGA, we really think those 5 votes were intentionally left behind by the APC as a sign and practice of Political love towards their opponent.

Moving forward to Sagbama LGA, PDP had 180 votes while APC got 119 votes, and in Ogbia LGA, PDP went away with 1,290 votes leaving behind 139 votes for APC to hold on to.

And as it stands now, the incumbent Governor,  Seriake Dickson, will remain in office for another term.

Below is the table showing the results…..

Lots of actions and reactions busted in the hall as some called for the cancellation of the result as it amounted not to have gone in favour of some.

Dennis Otitio of the APC was the main subject of this case as he nearly climbed the collation table trying to act negatively funny but not until Mr. Zana Akpagu threatened to bundle him out of the hall like a log of wood.

It’s really a very bad thing for yet to become leaders to start acting like togs even before assuming office, Akpagu.

Also, Reports made it known that about 15 force members ended up casualties of the election as it was been said that shootings were made in nearby cities and with force members trying to interfere, 15 of them got killed on the spot.
